Marcy Harris, long-time resident of Middleburg and customer of Stitch, purchased the store in October of 2015. Marcy’s passion for needlepoint runs deep. To pass the time while flying from job to job as a project manager at a large consulting firm, she rekindled a childhood passion for needlepoint handed down to her by her grandmother and has been a prolific needlepointer ever since.
Following the 2015 purchase, Marcy worked hard to reorganize the store– bringing in specialized, hand-painted canvases, a full range of unique and vibrant thread fibers, needlepoint books, needlepoint accessories, expert finishing and more.
Community is a cornerstone of Stitch. Marcy has also started weekly needlepoint groups in which folks of all ages and abilities sit around the big Stitch table over food and drink, sharing needlepoint knowledge and catching up.
